1. ENTRIES: The aged event will consist of a 7 & Up Open, Non Pro, Unlimited Amateur, and $75,000 Amateur; a 5/6 year old Open, $400K Open, Non Pro, Unlimited Amateur, and $75,000 Amateur; a 4 year old Open, $400K Open, Non Pro, Unlimited Amateur, and $75,000 Amateur.
  2. OPEN & NON PRO DIVISIONS: The Open and Non Pro divisions will consist of two go rounds and a finals for the 4 and 5/6 year old divisions. Sixty percent (60%) will advance to the 2nd go. Zeros and 180s will not advance. A minimum of 20% with a maximum of 25 horses will advance to the finals. Any Open (4 or 5/6) or Non Pro (4 or 5/6) must have a minimum of 50 entries to have a 2nd go. If less than 50, one (1) go round and 25% plus ties will advance to the finals. The 7 & Up will consist of one go and a finals. A minimum of 25% with a maximum of 25 horses will advance to the finals. There must be a minimum of 20 entries in each division to have a finals. All finalists will receive a check. A rider may ride an unlimited number of horses. Entry Fee for 4 and 5/6 Open and Non Pro divisions: $2,600 ($1,200 Jackpot – $1,400 cattle/office charge). Open and Non Pro 7 & Up $2360 ($1,100 jackpot – $1,260 cattle/office charge). The 4 year old will have $100,000 added money prorated between the Open and Non Pro classes. There will also be an additional $50,000 bonus money in the 4 year old Open and $7,500 bonus money in the 4 year old Non Pro. The 5/6 year old will have $100,000 added money prorated between the Open and Non Pro classes. There will also be an additional $50,000 bonus money in the 5/6 year old Open and $7,500 bonus money in the 5/6 year old Non Pro. The 7 & Up will have $100,000 added money prorated between the Open and Non Pro classes. There will also be an additional $50,000 bonus money in the 7 &Up Open and $7,500 bonus money in the 7 & Up Non Pro.
    1. OPEN 7 & UP BONUS MONEY: Bonus money will be added to the purse of the Open 7 & Up at the Winter Bash if the number of entries in the 7 & Up Open reach the following numbers:
      • $10,000 Bonus money if there are 50 entries in the 7 & Up open.
      • $20,000 Bonus money if there are 60 entries in the 7 & Up open.
      • $30,000 Bonus money if there are 70 entries in the 7 & Up open.
      • $40,000 Bonus money if there are 80 entries in the 7 & Up open.
      • $50,000 Bonus money if there are 90 entries in the 7 & Up open.
    2. RUN FOR A MILLION QUALIFIER: A qualifier for the 2026 Run For A Million will be held at the 2026 Winter Bash. Any age horse is eligible. If the horse is 4, 5/6 or 7 & Up, their first go round score in the Non Pro will be counted as their qualifying run. The riders with the top 15 scores entered in the qualifier will advance to the 2026 Run For A Million. The tie breaker will be calculated by adding the scores of all five judges together. If there is still a tie, a runoff will be held. Entry fee for the qualifier will be $1,000. No monies will be paid out at the Winter Bash in the qualifier. Entry fees will be rolled over to the Run For A Million purse, which will be held in August 2026.
  3. $400,000 Open Derby & Classic: The $400,000 Open 4 and 5/6 year old are restricted to riders that have lifetime earnings of $400,000 or less at the beginning of the 2026 point year. A rider may ride an unlimited number of horses. There will be one go round and a finals. The $400,000 Open 4 and 5/6 Entry Fee $1,660 ($750 jackpot – $910 cattle/office charge). There will be $15,000 added money in each the 4 and 5/6 year old $400K Open. There must be a minimum of 20 entries in each division to have a finals. Twenty five percent (25%) of the entries with a maximum of 25 will advance to the finals. Zeros and 180s will not advance. All finalists will receive a check.
  4. $200,000 Non Pro All Ages: The $200,000 Non-Pro division are restricted to riders that have won less than $200,000 in the last 2 years. The $200,000 Non Pro will consist of two go rounds (one go in 7 & Up Non Pro) as a class within a class. There will not be a working finals, payout will be made to the highest advancing horse(s) based on number of entries in the class. Entry Fee $500 ($400 Jackpot – $100 office charge)
  5. AMATEUR DIVISIONS: The Amateur divisions will consist of one go round and a finals. There will be an Unlimited and a $75,000 Amateur in the 4, 5/6 and 7 & Up. A rider may ride an unlimited number of horses. Unlimited Amateur Entry Fee $1,660 ($750 Jackpot – $910 cattle/office charge). There will be $15,000 added money in each the 4 year old Unlimited Amateur and the 5/6 year old Unlimited Amateur and the 7 & Up Unlimited Amateur. The $75,000 Amateur Entry Fee $1,660 ($750 Jackpot – $910 cattle/ office charge). If both classes are entered, the entry must be a combo (show once for both classes) the entry fee will be an additional $850. There must be a minimum of 20 entries in each division to have a finals. Twenty five percent (25%) of the entries with a maximum of 25 will advance to the finals. Zeros and 180s will not advance. All finalists will receive a check. There will be $15,000 added money in each the $75,000 Amateur 4, 5/6 and 7 & Up.
  6. GELDING DIVISION: : (A)The Gelding division will be offered in all age groups of the Open and Non Pro. It will consist of two go rounds as a class within a class. (One go for the 7 & Up). There will not be a working finals. Payment will be made to the highest advancing horses based on number of entries in the class. Entry fee $500 ($400 Jackpot – $100 office charge). (B). The Amateur Gelding divisions (Unlimited & $75K) will consist of one go round as a class within a class in all 3 age divisions. There will not be a working finals. Payment will be made to the highest advancing horses based on number of entries in the class. Entry Fee $500 ($400 Jackpot – $100 Office Charge).
  7. SENIOR DIVISION: The senior division will be offered in the 4, 5/6 and 7 & Up divisions of the Non Pro, $75,000 Amateur and Unlimited Amateur. The division is restricted to riders 55 years and older. It is a class within a class. There will not be a working finals. Payment will be made to the highest advancing horses based on the number of entries in the class. Entry Fee $500 ($400 Jackpot – $100 Office Charge).
  8. CHROME CASH: Chrome Cash will be offered as a class within a class in all divisions in each age group. Horses must be registered with APHA. A copy of APHA registration papers must be submitted with entry. Regular and solid bred horses are eligible to enter. There will be not be a working finals. Payment will be made to the highest advancing horses based on the number of entries in the class. Entry Fee $500 ($400 Jackpot – $100 Office Charge).
  9. NOVICE: The novice will be offered as a class within a class in the 4 & 5/6 Open. There will be a $10,000 Novice (LTE) in the 4 Open and a $35,000 Novice (LTE) in the 5/6 Open. There will not be a working finals. Payment will be made to the highest advancing horses based on the number of entries in the class. Entry Fee $500 ($400 Jackpot – $100 Office Charge).
  10. STALLS AND RV: must be reserved as follows:
    1. Paid for by January 6, 2026 @ $275.00 each, which includes 4 bags of shavings.
    2. If stalls are not reserved, stall availability is not guaranteed.
    3. There will be a $100 cancellation fee after January 12, 2026
    4. RV @ $40.00/night for 30 Amp; $60.00/night for 50 Amp — $100.00 nonrefundable deposit required.
  11. PAYOUT: All monies paid in finals.
    1. Ties: In the event of a tie Co-Champions will be declared with first and second place monies divided equally. Awards will be determined by adding the scores of all 5 judges from both go rounds and the finals together, with the highest accumulative scores to determine the awards.
    2. Winnings checks will be distributed at the show but only released with a completed W-9 on file.
  12. ENTRY DEADLINE & PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Payment is due January 6th. Any entries not received by January 6th will be assessed a $300 late fee per entry for Open and Non Pro divisions, a $200 late fee per entry for Amateur divisions. Late entries will be placed in the draw made on January 20th. Any entry after January 20th must pay the late fee and will be added on. The Winter Brazos Bash reserves the right to turn away any entry for any reason. Entries will not be placed in the draw without payment.
    1. There will be a 3.75% convenience charge on all fees paid with a credit card. This convenience charge is nonrefundable.
    2. Procurement of credit cards and/or checks for payment is the responsibility of the contestant and/or owner – NOT the show management.
  13. SUBSTITUTIONS: Substitutions will be allowed with a veterinary certificate stating the entered horse is unable to compete. The owner will be allowed to substitute another horse. No refunds for any reason.
  14. ELIGIBILITY: The burden of proof for eligibility shall be the member’s responsibility in all instances.
  15. SERVICE CHARGE: There will be a 15% service charge added to the total of all fees that are not paid by the conclusion of the show (e.g., stalls, RVs, practice pen, etc.).
  16. ENTRIES; CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULE: Show management reserves the right to accept or reject any entry or substitution for any reason in its sole discretion. Show management reserves the right to cancel, transfer, or reschedule this event without liability. Any changes or additions to these rules may be made by show management if deemed necessary in its sole discretion. Any changes or additions to the rules will be communicated to participants. In the event of cancellation, any fees paid will be refunded, excepting any convenience charges applied to credit card transactions. As used herein, “show management” shall include Bosque Ranch Events, LLC, and its parents, subsidiaries or other affiliates and related entities, including its and their owners, officers, members, principals, employees and agents.
  17. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY: : Participant accepts the condition of the event premises on an “as is where is” basis. PARTICIPANT HEREBY AGREES TO FULLY RELEASE, WAIVE, AND DISCHARGE SHOW MANAGEMENT (“RELEASEES” AS DEFINED ABOVE) FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION OF ANY KIND OR NATURE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, OR INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH, THAT PARTICIPANT OR ANY OF PARTICIPANT’S PROPERTY (INCLUDING HORSE) MAY SUSTAIN RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATION IN OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH LOSS IS CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES IN TORT, CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE THE RELEASEES BASED ON THE SAME.
  18. SHOW PEN CLOSURE: The show pen will be closed to all exhibitors prior to the start of the show.
  19. DRAWS: All classes will be hand drawn.
  20. EARLIEST HORSE ARRIVAL: The earliest that horses can arrive on the grounds is 8:00 a.m. on January 17, 2026. NO EXCEPTIONS
